🚀 Getting Started
TorquePlan (TorquePlan) is a web-based field service management app for engineering businesses. It gives you digital job sheets, compliance certificate generation, a manager dashboard, and a quotes system — all in one mobile-ready platform.
TorquePlan is built for field service engineering companies in the UK — from sole traders to multi-engineer contractors. It works across gas and heating, electrical, refrigeration and F-Gas, and general field service. If you send engineers to site and need to generate compliance certificates, TorquePlan is for you.
TorquePlan is currently in beta. A full public launch is planned for August 2026. Early access is available now — sign up or register your interest at torqueplan.com.
Yes. A free trial is available at sign-up. No credit card is required to start. You can explore TorquePlan with your own data before committing to a subscription.
No. TorquePlan is a web app — it runs in any browser on desktop, tablet, or mobile. Engineers access it on their phones on site without installing anything.
Visit torqueplan.com, sign up and create your organisation account. You'll be guided through entering your company details, sector, Gas Safe number and inviting your first engineers. If you'd prefer a guided walkthrough, request an onboarding call from within the app after sign-up.
🏢 Account & Organisation
Managers and administrators can invite engineers by email from within the app. Engineers receive an invitation email, set their password and are immediately added to your organisation. There is no IT setup required on their end.
TorquePlan has three roles:
  • Manager — full access to all features including jobs, certificates, quotes, engineer management, reports, and company settings
  • Admin — same as Manager but without access to company reports; ideal for site-level administrators
  • Engineer — can create and complete job records, but cannot generate final certificates or raise quotes
Yes. You can have multiple users with the manager or admin role within a single organisation account.
Yes. Upload your logo in Company Settings and it will appear automatically on every certificate and quote you generate.
Yes. These are set in Company Settings and appear on all relevant compliance certificates and quotes.
Managers and admins can remove engineer accounts from the organisation. All job records and certificates created by that engineer remain on the account.
📋 Job Sheets
A manager or engineer raises a new job record in the app, entering the customer details, job type, and date. The assigned engineer opens the job on their phone or tablet on site, completes the relevant fields and captures a digital signature on completion. The job record updates in real time.
Yes. TorquePlan is mobile-optimised. Engineers access it through the browser on their phone — no app download required.
Yes. Job notes can be added at any point by the engineer or manager.
Yes. The manager dashboard gives a live view of all jobs across your organisation, including status, engineer assigned and any pending compliance items.
✅ Compliance Certificates
TorquePlan currently supports CP42 (gas installation), CP16 (gas safety), EICR (electrical periodic inspection), CP17, and F-Gas records. Each certificate is generated as a branded PDF directly from the job record.
Only managers and admins can mark a certificate as complete and generate the final PDF. Engineers can save a draft, which is then reviewed and completed by a manager. This role separation is by design to support compliance processes.
Yes. Your logo, company name, address, Gas Safe number, and VAT number all appear on generated certificates automatically, using the details set in Company Settings.
Each certificate carries a colour-coded status: green (valid), amber (expiring soon), red (expired), or grey (draft). Managers see a notification of pending drafts on login.
As long as your organisation account is active. Industry regulations set minimum retention periods (gas safety: 2 years, F-Gas/EICR: 5 years, PAT: 3 years). We recommend keeping copies outside TorquePlan as a backup.
Yes. You can download the certificate PDF from within the job record and send it to the customer however you normally communicate with them.
💰 Quotes
Yes. The quotes panel allows managers and admins to build and send quotes with call-out charges, labour lines (hours x rate), parts lines (quantity x unit cost + markup), and VAT. Quotes are numbered automatically and track through Draft, Sent, and Accepted statuses.
Yes. Quotes can be generated as PDFs that include your company branding, full line-item breakdown, VAT calculation, and totals.
No. The quotes system is available to managers and admins only.
💲 Your Subscription Plan
TorquePlan uses a flat monthly subscription per organisation. Full pricing is confirmed at the August 2026 public launch. Early access subscribers will be notified of pricing in advance.
No. TorquePlan is priced per organisation, not per engineer. Your subscription covers your whole team regardless of how many engineers you have.
Subscription payments are processed securely by Stripe. All major debit and credit cards are accepted. TorquePlan does not store your card details.
Yes. You can cancel your subscription at any time. Your account remains active until the end of the current billing period. No cancellation fees apply.
Your data is retained for 30 days after account closure, then deleted. We strongly recommend downloading any certificates or records you need to keep before cancelling.
